The ‘Story’ section for the official Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods website has been updated. The contents seems to just be a recap of the previous Dragon Ball story line. As March 30th 2013 approaches the website is gradually getting updated for the release.
Long, long ago, there were the Dragon Balls of legend, which were said to grant any wish when the seven of them were gathered together.
The mysterious boy living up in the mountains far away from the big city, Son Goku, and the girl searching for the Dragon Balls, Bulma. From this small encounter in one corner of the Earth, began a mysterious adventure. Piccolo Daimaō, who tried to conquer the world; Freeza, who plotted to rule all of space; the artificial human Cell, who transcended time and space to menace humanity; and Majin Buu, who did the utmost of evil across the entire universe. One after another, powerful foes appeared before Goku and his companions over the Dragon Balls. And so, at the end of long, long days of battle, peace abruptly came to Earth… and yet…

It’s been decided that FLOW will handle the main theme of the film “Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods”, opening 30 March 2013.
The theme will be what could be called a byword for Dragon Ball Z, “CHA-LA HEAD-CHA-LA”!!!
That famous song will come back to life in a rearrangement with FLOW’s distinctive increased sense of speed!!!
By all means, please look forward to the FLOW-style “CHA-LA HEAD-CHA-LA”!!!
“Dragon Ball Z: God and God” (“Battle of Gods”) official homepage:
This news also comes with exclusive comments from FLOW regarding their excitement for their involvement in the movie.
We, FLOW, are truly happy now to have been given the honor of covering “CHA-LA HEAD-CHA-LA”. “Dragon Ball” is an anime that we’ve watched since we were in elementary school, all the members are in high spirits! And on top of that, “CHA-LA HEAD-CHA-LA” is a song we’ve often sung at karaoke, so to think we’d have the honor of doing a cover! We’re also incredibly excited for this movie, so we’d be glad if everyone would enjoy not only [watching] the movie, but listening to the FLOW-style “CHA-LA HEAD-CHA-LA” as well.
FLOW have performed various anime theme songs which include: “GO!!!”, the fourth opening for Naruto, “Sign”, the sixth opening for Naruto Shippuden, “Colors”, the first opening for Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion.

The game is going to be developed by Namco Bandai and will be titled: Project Versus J. The game will include of course One Piece, Dragon Ball and Toriko characters as listed below. As well as these series the developers are taking character requests from different series as they did with ‘Jump Ultimate Stars’. Individuals who send in their character requests are automatically thrown into a prize draw for a Nintendo 3DS. Could the platform for the new title be the 3DS? Stay tuned for more news as it comes.
As previously reported the official Dragon Ball Z: Battle Of Gods website has been completely updated. The website has certain sections that have not been linked up, however they are live after some website crawling. The ‘Introduction‘ page has been found but has not been linked to the navigation of the website, but it is live and available to go to. The page features information and images we have already seen, like the Akira Toriyama note that was originally posted on the official website. Also there is a brief synopsis of the movie written on the page the translation is below:
Akira Toriyama Joins the Battle.
Not only is the real “Dragon Ball” being resurrected with an all-star cast, but what’s more, for this historic project the original author Akira Toriyama is involved with the original work, story, and character design.
The story takes place several years after the titanic battle with Majin Buu, that determined the fate of the entire universe. Bils, the God of Destruction who maintains the balance of the universe, awakens from a long slumber! Hearing rumors that a Saiyan defeated Freeza, Bils tracks down Goku. Goku is so ecstatic that a tough enemy has appeared after such a long time, he ignores Kaiō’s advice and fights Bils, but cannot do a thing against his overwhelming power and is defeated. Bils leaves, but his eerie remark of “Is there nobody on Earth more worthy to destroy…?” lingers on… Can Goku and co. really stop the God of Destruction?!
There is much speculation here to discuss especially on Goku actually being Defeated?
Toei Animation have updated the official website for Dragon Ball Z: Battle Of Gods. The website has been completely changed from the previous design. The website features a high quality version of the image showcased on the previously leaked poster. The website features no new information that we do not already know. Under the ‘Introduction’, ‘Story’, ‘Character’, ‘Cast/Staff’ and ‘Special Contents’ there is a ‘Coming Soon’ displayed when you hover over the navigation options. Within the next few weeks these are expected to be updated.
Also Toei Animation have released two high quality images of the upcoming movie. The first is basically the high quality version of the image used in the featured posters released; and the second is a screenshot from the actual movie. The screenshot shows the Z fighters summoning Shenron for some particular reason.
